Patrick received his board certification as a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) through the Cardiovascular Credentialing Institute. Has was awarded the advanced practice credential Registered Cardiovascular Specialist Assistant from International Council of Cardiovascular Specialists and Assistants (ICCCSA), and received the Certified Trainer, Assessor and Examiner credential for simulation examinations by the same council. He has also been awarded the Fellowship of the Society of Invasive Cardiovascular Professionals (FSICP).
Patrick has extensive experience in invasive cardiovascular technology, specifically interventional and electrophysiology procedures. He is a frequent presenter and speaker at national and international cardiovascular conferences; including TCT, NCVH, and SCAI. He has facilitated and presented at many RCIS review courses for the Society of Invasive Cardiovascular Professionals (SICP).
Patrick has had several articles published in the Cathlab Digest and the Pulse Magazine. He has authored a chapter for the textbook “Invasive Cardiology: a Manual for Cath Lab Personnel”. In addition, he was featured as the “10 Minute Interview” feature in the Cathlab Digest, and in 2015 he was identified as one of the “20 Top Cardiovascular Technology Educators” by MedicalTechnologySchools.com. Patrick served as the President of the Society of Invasive Cardiovascular Professionals from 2014 – 2016, and is an active member of the society.
