Cathy began teaching at Southeast Tech in August 1990. Before starting at Southeast Tech she worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse in a Regional Hospital in Southwest Minnesota. She obtained experience in a variety of departments such as: Med-surg, Ob-Nursery, ICU/CCU and surgery. After that she worked at Sanford Health in Sioux Falls, South Dakota as a (RVT) Registered Vascular Technologist until she helped start the ultrasound program at Southeast Tech in 1990. Cathy is also a CPR instructor with the American Heart Association, Member of the Diagnostic Medical Society and the Society of Vascular Ultrasound. She also is a site visitor and reader for the (JRC-CVT) Joint Review Committee on Education in Cardiovascular Technology which falls under (CAAHEP) Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs.
