Ignite: 68 Bell Ringers to Engage Students
Ignite equips you with 68 bell-ringers or startup tasks to engage students, with career-readiness topics that tie directly to the SkillsUSA Framework. The activities presented in Ignite will help teachers to gain a better understanding of their students’ classroom knowledge as well as personal feelings, attitudes and beliefs Consider posting a bell-ringer before starting each class session, and discuss the relationship of the task content to school, SkillsUSA and the workplace.. Activities are divided into the three components of the SkillsUSA framework: personal, workplace and technical skills grounded in academics with the goal to teach employability skills to all students.

Jump Into STEM: Explore 22 Careers
SkillsUSA has a new resource that encourages high-school students to mentor younger students on possible career paths. Its Jump Into STEM! program provides tools and activities for SkillsUSA members to help elementary-age participants take part in interactive career experiences. Whether a younger student wants to be an architect or an electrician, a social media specialist or a computer programmer, an industrial designer or an airline pilot, there is information on a possible career for the future. With this groundbreaking new program, SkillsUSA members are bridging the gap between elementary-age students and careers related to STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics).
