This past June, SDSU organized the first Data Analytics Camp for high school students at the Department of Mathematics and Statistics. This free 4-day camp is supported by National Science Foundation through the EPSCoR program. During the camp, students learned basic concepts of probability and statistics as well as how to analyze data using Microsoft Excel and the R programming language.
This session will highlight the activities and online resources developed for the camp that can be used in classrooms and will highlight the importance of data interpretation in many professions and our everyday lives.
